Ingredients

  • - 0.5 pound beef sirloin, very thinly sliced
  • - 4 cups beef broth (low sodium)
  • - 1 star anise
  • - 1 small cinnamon stick
  • - 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • - 2 servings rice noodles (approx. 100g)
  • - 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • - Fresh Thai basil, cilantro, lime wedges, and chili slices for garnish

Instructions

    Simmer broth with star anise and cinnamon for 10 minutes.

    Add fish sauce and soy sauce. Remove spices.

    Cook noodles according to package instructions.

    Place beef slices in bowls with cooked noodles. Pour hot broth over to cook beef.

    Top with sprouts, herbs, lime, and chili.
