Ingredients
- - 0.5 pound lean pork shoulder, cubed
- - 2 tablespoons vinegar
- - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- - 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
- - 1 bay leaf
- - 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- - 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- - 1/4 cup water
- - 1 teaspoon oil
- - 1 cup steamed brown rice
Instructions
- 1.In a pot, combine all ingredients except oil and rice. Marinate pork for 15 minutes.
- 2.Simmer the pot over medium heat, covered, for 25 minutes.
- 3.Uncover, increase heat, and cook until sauce is slightly reduced and pork is tender.
- 4.Drizzle with oil, stir gently, and serve with brown rice.
